	</p><p>Michael Christensen lukker racingåret 2011 af med den sidste GP3-test for i år. Det skete på Jerez-banen, hvor danskeren i flere sessioner sluttede i top 10 for sit 2011-team RSC Mücke Motorsport.</p>
<p>Dominerende i toppen af resultatlisterne var dog tyske Christian Abt for Lotus ART-teamet.</p>
<p>Michael Christensen har tidligere til Racemag udtalt, at karrieren nu drejer sig om GT-racing. Her har danskeren da også debuteret med flere afdelinger i tyske ADAC GT Masters i sæsonen.</p>

<p>RSC Mücke Motorsport-køreren var otter i kvalifikationen lørdag til løbet, der køres sent lørdag eftermiddag.</p>
<p>Mesterskabskandidaterne Bottas og Calado starter femmer og sekser, mens Christensens teamkammerat Nigel Melker, der har en matematisk chance for titlen, starter nede på 13. pladsen.</p>

	</p><p>Michael Christensen og GP3 Series tager denne weekend afsked med 2011-sæsonen, hvor årets mester skal kåres på Monza.</p>
<p>Efter en lidt skuffende sæson, der ellers startede solidt med podieplacering i Istanbul, har den unge dansker fundet farten sidst på sæsonen og kommer med flere gode pointplaceringer i bagagen mod Autodromo Nazionale Monza.</p>
<p>- Efter Istanbul var forventningerne naturligvis skyhøje, ikke mindst mine egne. Men det har været en meget svær sæson hvor vi ind imellem har været slemt i vilrede. På baner hvor vi tidligere havde testet med bedste tid kunne vi pludselig ikke finde farten. Jeg og RSC Mücke er dog langtfra de eneste der har det sådan, hvilket bedst kan illustreres af at der indtil nu har været hele 11 forskellige løbsvindere i de 14 kørte løb. Dels har konkurrencen været fantastisk hård, og dels er det meget svært at finde et stabilt set-up i den nuværende generation af GP3 biler, samt ikke mindst årets Pirelli dæk, siger Michael Christensen i en pressemeddelelse.</p>
<p>På det seneste har Valtteri Bottas og Lotus-ART taget téten i mesterskabet, og årets mester skal da også findes i dette team, formentligt. Finnen kæmper mod biten James Calado i den samlede stilling, mens Christensens teamkammerat Nigel Melker har en matematisk chance.</p>
<p>- Tidtagningen på Monza bliver et lotteri, mener danskeren. Alt afhænger af om at være på rette sted til rette tid; underforstået få en god slipstream mens dækkene er optimale. Min strategi er simpel: blive længst mulig på banen og satse på at få det vitale ”tow”. Vi må se om det lykkes, slutter han.</p>

	</p><p>En af de to danskere, der er i aktion i denne weekend ved F1 Grand Prixet på Spa-Francorchamps er Michael K. Christensen, der kommer fyldt med selvtillid og en ny sponsoraftale i bagagen. Danskeren håber på at kunne give sig selv en god fødselsdagsgave.</p>
<p>Den danske formelkører fylder 21 år den 28. august, og med en andenplads fra Hungaroring kan RSC Mücke Motorsport-køreren forhåbentligt ride videre på den bølge.</p>
<p>- Min selvtillid fik helt klart et mægtigt løft efter en række uheldige løb. Selv om der er gået næsten 5 uger siden sidste løb har det været en travl sommer, med præsentationen af den nye aftale med Renault Danmark i centrum. Jeg har fungeret som racerinstruktør for unge talenter på Padborg Park, og senest testet en stor Dodge Viper som jeg forhåbentlig skal køre til en afdeling af det tyske GT-mesterskab senere i år. Men lige nu glæder jeg mig til løbet denne weekend i Belgien, siger Michael K. Christensen i en pressemeddelelse.</p>
<p>Testen i den tyske Dodge Viper er en forsmag på et muligt skifte til GT-racing for danskeren.</p>
<p>Første løb køres lørdag 17.20, mens andet løb afvikles søndag klokken 9.20. Andet løb kan ses live på Eurosport.</p>
<p>Michael K. Christensen får til resten af sæsonen ny medkører i teamet, da Luciano Bacheta bytter til Formel 2. Ny kollega er Daniel Mancinelli.</p>

	</p><p>Michael K. Christensen var ikke i stand til at følge op på den fine andenplads fra lørdagens GP3-løb, da juniorserien kørte som opvarming til F1-grand prix’et søndag.</p>
<p>Løbet startede på våd bane, men et optørrende spor fik RSC Mücke-køreren og hans engineer til at satse – og det kostede.</p>
<p>- Sammen med min ingeniør besluttede vi os for et set-up beregnet på tørvejr, men det skulle vise sig at være en fejl. Banen forblev meget våd, og bilen blev derfor meget svær at køre, siger Michael K. Christensen i en pressemeddelelse.</p>
<p>Rio Haryanto fra Indonesien vandt et spændende løb med gode dueller hele vejen ned i rækkerne under de svære betingelser. Valtteri Bottas tog andenpladsen og udbygger dermed i den samlede stilling.</p>
<p>Efter løbet blev Tom Dillman idømt en straf svarende til drive-through-straf og ryger ned på 22. pladsen – dog ringe trøst for Michael K. Christensen, da blot top 6 får point.</p>

	</p><p>Michael Christensen fik gang i resultaterne igen med en fin andenplads i første GP 3 Series-løb på Hungaroring. Christensen var reelt eneste kører, der kunne følge vinderen Valtteri Bottas.</p>
<p>0,9 sekund skilte de to ved målflaget, og der var mere end ni sekunder til treeren Adrian Quaife-Hobbs.</p>
<p>Michael Christensen understregede sin form ved at sætte hurtigste omgang i løbet.</p>
<p>Alexander Sims tog en fjerdeplads og dermed føringen i mesterskabet, men efterfølgende blev briten ekskluderet for brud på det tekniske reglement, og finske Bottas kunne i stedet springe i føring i mesterskabet.</p>

	</p><p>Michael K. Christensen starter femmer i weekendens første løb i GP3 Series. Danskeren er dermed endelig med i den skarpe ende, efter en sæson præget af uheld og svigtende teknik.</p>
<p>Det var dog finske Valtteri Bottas, der kunne tage sin første pole position – mere end 3/10 sekund fra teamkammerat James Calado i den anden Lotus ART-racer.</p>
<p>Christensen var på et tidspunkt i toppen af kvalifikationen, men i de døende minutter var der som sædvanligt ultratravlt på banen, og danskeren var involveret i en hård kamp om at sikre sig tredjepladsen. Den gik dog til Mitch Evans.</p>
<p>Løbet køres klokken 1720 og kan ses søndag i eftersending på Eurosport2 klokken 08.00. Herefter følger Race 2 live.</p>

	</p><p>Michael K. Christensen har nu blæst til fuldt angreb i GP3 Series, hvor danskeren efter en god sæsonåbner i Tyrkiet har været særdeles uheldig.</p>
<p>RSC Mücke Motorsport-køreren er sakket langt bagud i den samlede stilling, og nu er taktisk kørsel udelukket i weekendens løb på Nürburgring. Danskeren må tage chancer for at markere sig i mesterskabet.</p>
<p>Uheldene i de sidste tre afdelinger med både teknisk svigt og påkørsler har bevirket at pointhøsten har været lig nul, og danskeren er med 7 points på en foreløbig 14. plads, 22 points efter den førende Mitch Evans.</p>
<p>- Derfor er tiden nu kommet til at ændre taktik. På Nürburgring og i de efterfølgende løb vil jeg gå målrettet mod topplaceringer og derfor måske også løbe en større risiko for uheld undervejs. Men topresultater er nødvendige for at rette op på sæsonen og sikre mig den opbakning, der skal skaffe mig videre mod toppen af international motorsport, også efter 2011, siger Michael K. Christensen.</p>
<p>Danskeren og resten af GP3-feltet kører træning fredag og kvalifikation og første løb lørdag. Andet løb køres søndag formiddag.</p>
<p>Det kan ses på Eurosport søndag den 24. juli, hvor første løb vises 9.00-9.30 forskudt, mens andet løb vises lige efter live.</p>
